Detox Bar - Organic Cold Pressed Soap

Each bar is long lasting, fantastically refreshing body, relaxing mind, with superior cleansing performance.  These luxurious qualities are non existence in the common soaps. 

Our soaps are incredibly mild and gentle.  Majority of Commercial Soaps are detergent based, containing animal fats, petroleum products (irritating to people with sensitive skin), esters (known carcinogenics), alcohols (which dry your skin), low grade oils, waxes and fillers.  Your body sees those chemicals as toxins.  In addition Commercial Soaps, including expensive 'French Tripple Milled' Soaps, contain skin irritating synthetic fragrances, colorants, foaming agents and preservatives (allergens). 

That's very different from how we make our soaps. We don't use any artificial colorants, hardeners, fragrances, latherers or preservatives.  We are not aware of anyone who is unable to use our soaps.

What are Cold Pressed Soaps ?

This soap has been carefully crafted using a unique cold process method.  A method of creating luxury soap products using low temperatures for only a short period of time during the process in order to bring various oils to their natural melting points.  Once this is achieved no further external heat is applied thereby ensuring these natural essences retain their skin nourishing and health related benefits.

Commercially extruded and glycerin type soaps - even the most expensive 'French Triple Milled' soaps - are created by employing a production method that applies high temperatures, pressure and excessive amounts of alkaline solution to speed up the soap saponification reaction in order to make more soap faster. 

Unfortunately natural flower and plant essences are sensitive to heat, light and other factors and are damaged when subjected to this very harsh manufacturing process.  The result is that the active beneficial components within each natural ingredient are destroyed, thereby losing the very properties and reason for choosing them in the first place.  It is also important to note that commercial soaps are usually made with ingredients that have been decolorized and deodorized to make them cosmetically neutral and more appealing.  This very "refinement" neutralizes their beneficial properties as well.

Our Cold Pressed soaps are also unique in that they contain ZERO free alkali and salt.  Unlike commercial soaps which usually contain 0.1% to 1% - another reason why even the most expensive "French Milled" soaps are still drying to the skin.

TIP:  Handmade soap contains all its natural glycerin.  Body Temple Soaps contain around 20-30% of its natural glycerin.  Because it has no harsh chemicals and other preservatives, handmade soap is not as hard as mass-produced bars which has had the glycerin removed. 

Let your soap dry out between uses, by putting your soap on some kind of a soap dish that allows air to circulate around the bar. A 'proper' soap dish will either raise the bar up for air to circulate from beneath, or contain air holes for drainage of water below the soap. If you store your soap in the little alcove built into most shower stalls and tub surrounds, the shower spray will continually soak your soap. You will literally see your soap's glycerin, and your money, go down the drain. You can also use a sisal bag or netted sponge to further extend the soap's lather.  If you don't use a dish, at least try standing the soap on edge after use, so the least amount of surface is in contact with any puddles.  Our handmade natural soaps will last longer if you take care of them!

You can use our Natural Wood Soap Dish to keep the bar out of puddles, and let it dry out between uses.   The more it can dry it out between uses the longer it will last and the better it will feel when you use it.  You can even alternate between bars to help keep one dry at all times.
